Happy New Year!

I can't imagine a 'better' toast than this.

Make yourself a "Happy" New Year.

Which means...choose to be happy. Do what makes you happy. Smile at family, friends and strangers. Be happy in your heart for the tasks you have to bear. It sounds strange, but it is within you to choose to be happy. If you can't be happy, then it's time to make some changes in your life that will make you happy.

Once you are 'happy' then life is a joy. Each day will bring a smile to your face, therefore making you appear younger. People will want to be around you more. Your life will definitely change for the better.

A small word, happy, but it can bring joy into your life.

So, have a 'Happy' New Year

It's Christmas Time

Wow...Christmas is so close. The only decorating I've done is emptying two bags of Hershey's Kisses in silver, green and red wrappers in a crystal dish on my hall tree.

And that's it.

I have a long list of things to do, but work comes first. Today is the Christmas Bonus check day at our business. Figuring out over a hundred bonus checks means a spreadsheet and several factors. Length of service, job position, earnings this year divided by your evaluation score, then calculating that out. It took time, then print out the checks, sign the suckers, make a decorative label for the envelope, fold and stuff. No wonder I'm exhausted.

Then there is a party at our house this Sunday, it's the monthly 'Birthday Bash' where we celebrate birthdays and anniversaries for the members of our family. There are twenty-four of us in three generations, so every month is on except for January. But of course, three sets of grandkids are 'home' every other week, so figuring out what day is good takes a bit of doing.

I'm wondering if I can decorate the abode by Sunday.

Stay tuned for details...
